South Africa Rates

Mesquite Ridge Outfitters has access to superb hunting areas, and we are able to offer hunting opportunities for any form of game hunting. We cater for both bow hunting and rifle hunting.

Bow hunting is conducted by walk and stalk and out of blinds which are strategically placed.

Rifle hunting is done using the walk and stalk method.

For plains game animals the following rifles are recommended:

 

270, 308, 30-06, 300 Magnum, 7 mm Magnum

 

For big game and thick skin animals a minimum .375 Magnum is required.

INCLUDED IN OUR DAILY RATE

  • Services of an experienced Professional Hunter, Trackers, Skinners, and Hunting Vehicle.

  • Field preparation, salting, and tagging of trophies, ready for Taxidermist delivery.

  • Full Lodging and catering, inclusive of snacks, fruits, etc.

  • Local soft drinks, beers, wine, and spirits for moderate enjoyment.

  • All services and amenities at the lodge.

  • Housekeeping and daily laundry.

  • All Government Taxes, License fees, and Hunting Permits (Excluding CITES, where applicable).

  • Transportation by road to/from OR Tambo International Airport.

  • Delivery of trophies to your selected taxidermist en route to OR Tambo International Airport after the hunt.

EXCLUSIONS IN OUR DAILY RATE

  • Trophy fees.

  • Activities and/or accommodation before and after the hunting period.

  • Guide and vehicle for Non-Hunters (Prior arrangement and POA required).

  • Specially imported wines, beers, and spirits (e.g., Whiskeys, Gin, Champagne).

  • Domestic/local charter flights to/from hunting areas.

  • All taxidermy/dipping, packing, and shipping costs of hunted trophies.

  • CITES or Special permits for Trophies.

  • Temporary rifle import permits and customs clearing.

  • Rifle and ammunition hire (if needed).

  • Gratuities (greatly appreciated for good service).
